Our Mission

Extreme politics are dividing our country and poisoning many local school districts, but we can prevent that from happening here.

Fear and misinformation are easily spread, but together we can “Meet in the Middle” to disrupt the chaos.

We’ll work with PCSD and all stakeholders to ensure our schools foster an environment in which our students can excel academically, think freely, and are encouraged to be who they are without judgment.

Together, we can unite our community. We’ll stand together for Pittsford students, families and teachers.

Will you?

What We Stand For

  • Transparency

    Open government is good government.

District officials and Board members must be open and honest with the public about all matters affecting our students.

We deserve to know the truth about what is happening in our schools, as it happens. We need our administrators to order impartial and transparent investigations, share all allowable findings, and explain their actions to the community.

Our Board members must listen to us and tell everyone where they stand on the issues. There’s nothing more undemocratic than Board members pledging their silence to the Board and refusing to talk to the public that elected them.

We expect transparency and accountability from our Board members and our district officials so that we can all work to support our students—Together.

  • Academic Excellence

We believe in academic excellence for all of our students.

Academic excellence means tailoring our programs and services to meet our students where they are. We believe that our schools must consider the diverse learning needs and environments for each and every student, including:

Academic support programs to give every student what they need to achieve their highest potential.

Understanding that Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives support and enhance academic excellence, and do not impede it.

Providing high quality early intervention services for those with additional needs (dyslexia, speech, etc.) and expanding our reading programs.

Expanding instructional challenge, academic enrichment, and other opportunities for advanced rigor for all students.

Ensuring that classes are appropriately staffed with professionals who can identify and support social-emotional student needs.

Embedding professionals to provide mental health support and social & emotional learning opportunities across curricula.

  • Community

Our students represent the very best of us but they need our support. We vow to center our community around our students and support them—and each other.

We believe in rising above the rage and the rhetoric, and finding ways to “Meet in the Middle.” We’ll work to heal our community and not let misinformation, fear or hate divide us. Let’s have thoughtful, respectful conversations—especially when we disagree—and come together to do what’s best for all of our students. It takes all of us—students, parents, guardians, educators, and community members—working together to make our schools great.

Let’s put politics aside for the sake of our students and our community. Let’s support and elect leaders who put our students first and hear our voices.

Our students deserve a community that will stand with them. We promise to celebrate our students and their families, honor their diverse cultures and traditions, and always make them feel welcome and supported.
